The following is an exception to our Message about the purpose of FY24Celebrating 40 years at Cisco.
In 40 years of technology has happened a lot: internet, mobiles, social media, cloud computing, AI. Over time, the safe power of this technology has become more critical and more complicated. This is Cisco.
We create and supply technology that drives world connectivity, whether between computers, communities or across continents. And this work has never been more important than today, at the age of artificial intelligence.
As Chuck CEO Robbins, “AI and its unlimited possibilities, will affect every organization, sectors, community and person – transforms the world in countless ways. Connection, security and data will be crucial in the implementation of the potential of artificial intelligence, as well as innovation of an ethical, responsible and sustainable way. ”
Below are only some of the many ways that Cisco integrates AI into its strategy, products and services:
AI in the workplace
Employees also use AI to form the way teams work. This year we launched “Teaming with AI”, a pilot program that allowed teams to experiment with new ways of working to increase their productivity and efficiency. We also organized the hackathon “Innovers: AI”, in which we called on employees to find new ways to use AI in our roles, and at the same time we went through training and leadership.
Skilling skills using AI
Artificial intelligence accelerates the pace of changes for global labor and represents an opportunity for individuals to improve their skills. Cisco Networking Academy develops and cooperates with leaders in the field to offer engaging teaching content of artificial intelligence at its own pace, such as AI Fundamentals with IBM Skillsbuild, which teaches the basics of artificial intelligence and allows our students to acquire new skills that transform the future of work. We also led the AI-enabled ICT Workforsce Consortium consortium with Accenture, Eightfold, Google, IBM, Indeed, Intel, Microsoft and SAP to assess the impact of artificial intelligence on technology jobs and identify skills development paths. Joint efforts make these organizations to merge knowledge, recommend action plans and act on the basis of findings, so the revolution of artificial intelligence will not leave anyone behind.
Using AI in Security Response
From the beginning we use AI and machine learning (ML) to create security detections in large and help safety analysts. We use ml to detect spam, classification of e-mails, harmful domains and more. Our latest ML, Snortml system, detects attack variations and automatically blocks them at the source. To increase cooperation, Cisco AI Security has developed an incident Collaboration Playbook with the American Agency for Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security, other AI providers, and security and owners and operators and operators of critical infrastructure. This guide will help coordinate responses to AI security incidents between governments, industrial partners and global partners to achieve a safer future.
